Dr. Kerry Bruce is an international development leader and public health expert with more than 30 years of experience applying emerging technologies to strengthen evaluation, health systems, and global development. She is CEO of ClearUp Consulting, a woman-owned firm advising multilateral organizations, philanthropies, and NGOs on the responsible use of artificial intelligence in development, especially in the areas of monitoring, evaluation and learning. Her recent work includes leading a UNICEF study comparing large language models with traditional qualitative coding for humanitarian evaluation and serving on the Steering Committee for the MERLTech Natural Language Processing Working Group. She is also co-editor of the forthcoming volume Artificial Intelligence and Evaluation: Examples from Practice (Taylor & Francis, 2026). Dr. Bruce is adjunct faculty at the School of Health at Georgetown University
