Emmanuel Lubanzadio is the Africa Lead at OpenAI, where he leads OpenAI's policy and partnership engagements across the continent. With extensive experience at the intersection of technology, policy, and government affairs, he has held several policy roles across Africa, Europe, and the U.S. in both the public sector (U.S. Congress, GIZ, UN) and private sector (Fresenius, Twitter).
Before joining OpenAI, Emmanuel was the Head of Policy and Government Affairs for Africa at Twitter, leading government relations and strategic partnerships across the region.
Fluent in German, French, Lingala, and English, Emmanuel is deeply committed to bridging technology and policy. He is a strong advocate for the transformational power of technology and AI to drive innovation, economic growth, and solutions to some of society’s most pressing challenges.
