• John Zoltner

    John Zoltner is the Founder and CEO of AI4SocialImpact and AIChildSafety.org, where he leads global efforts to harness artificial intelligence for social good and while protecting children from potential AI harms. He is widely recognized as a pioneering expert in the use of AI for social impact, technology for development, online child safety, and nonprofit innovation. Previously, Zoltner established the Safe Digital Childhood initiative and the ICT4D practice at Save the Children, one of the world’s largest NGOs, and founded the TechLab at FHI 360. Over more than two decades, he has applied technology to strengthen nonprofit programs, advance humanitarian action, and safeguard vulnerable populations - especially children - from online exploitation and abuse. Zoltner has collaborated with global technology companies, international organizations, and government regulators, serving in advisory roles with the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, and the WeProtect Global Alliance. His work spans academic studies on youth and AI, online grooming, and technology-facilitated gender-based violence, as well as the development of AI-powered tools for humanitarian data, child protection, and digital safety.
