Katherine Hoffmann Pham is the AI lead of the Frontier Technology team at UNICEF's Office of Innovation. In her current role, she provides technical assistance on the use of AI to advance UNICEF programming, with a focus on projects initiated by country and regional offices. She is interested in applications of big data, artificial intelligence, and technology in the humanitarian and development sectors, with applications ranging from predictive analytics for forced displacement to radio mining and AI for low-resource languages. Previously, she was an AI researcher at UN Global Pulse and a program and research associate at Innovations for Poverty Action. She completed her PhD in Information Systems at NYU Stern and a BA/MA at Stanford University, and is currently based in Brussels, Belgium.
