Petya Kangalova: With over 13 years of experience across the international development, humanitarian, and tech-for-good sector, Petya Kangalova is the Technology Partnership and Engagement Lead at the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOTOSM). She drives global partnerships, multilateral engagements and open-source innovation in mapping technologies that support disaster management and the Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to HOTOSM, Petya spent five years at the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), where she supported global organizations in publishing and using open data, managed open-source tools, and led community engagements across Africa and Asia. An open source advocate and community builder, she champions diversity and inclusion in tech and is passionate about lowering the barrier to entry to enable everyone to create and use open map data
