Topic: Impact Measurement & Learning with AI Enabled Qualitative Tools

This session will explore how AI driven qualitative research tools, while not a substitute for in person fieldwork, can significantly lower costs, speed up insight cycles, and scale user centered learning. Grounded in insights from nonprofit, civil society, and private sector stakeholders, we will examine both traditional challenges such as high cost, slow turnaround, and limited agility, and the potential of AI when paired with researcher led frameworks and human in the loop oversight to make continuous, inclusive, and responsible qualitative insights more accessible. The session closes with a live case example of our work with Shortlist on a Gates funded Gender and AI Livelihoods project.
